Over the new year we got a bunch of stuff done in the living room and kitchen. finished the mantle with stone, barnwood and a old rough cut chuck of red oak from Grandpa Jim.

Also installed inceiling speakers and the center island.

Christmas Miracles DO Happen!

I got my car in the garage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who doesn't believe in Santa - I just got my Christmas wish early:)

Beau and Adde bring wood to the wood stove. That thing keeps our house WARM!

So just a happy note - here is the pile of laundary that I did in 3 loads...thats right 3 loads with my new AMAZING washer and dryer! The only downfall - now folding takes longer with so many more clothes clean at one time ;)

Our Door project over Thanksgiving weekend. Stain and varnish! Thanks Tom and Bridgette for the time to get it done!

Was a busy weekend. Thanks to all the people who helped over the weekend...inlaws on both sides...the Quams who loaded cars in about 2 seconds and made it look like I never packed anything...and helping with our cabinets...and Jared for getting my closets in!

Kitchen...fridge all set to go...and even "cooked" dinner for my kids on Sunday - in the microwave!

Light at the end of the Tunnel - Painting wise

So...a lot of light fixtures in - some turned out better than I thought they would...some not rushing into! A lot of painting done - just 3 areas to go! Slowly but surely turning into an actual house and not so much a construction zone! Just a lot of pictures to take in!

The house looks like we made a LOT of progress this weekend thanks again to a LOT of help! Lee, Katie, Henry and Grace came out Friday night - Lee framed the tub - Katie brought amazing chili to eat...so much better than Subway - and Henry and Adde did a great job getting started on painting the living room. I think they were going for the antiqued look.

Saturday we had a packed house with Papa, Kris, Mike, and Jaime out at the house to help and Erin, Joe and Mimi at home to play! We got the upstairs mostly painted...turned out to be a lot of greens I think. Didn't get a picture of the Lime green sitting room - but will try to add it soon. Thank you Thank you - so much change!
